John Goodridge is a premium menswear business that was founded in Farnham in 1927. We have set up an ecommerce site to give our existing customers and people who have not yet discovered us the opportunity to browse our extensive range of fashion brands. 

We offer a great range of branded menswear, accessories and footwear, including Belstaff, Ralph Lauren, Veja and Scotch & Soda. 

 

John Goodridge Ltd – a brief history

 

John Goodridge Ltd was established by John ‘Jack’ Goodridge, and was originally located at the bottom of Downing Street. In 1927 Jack decided he needed to expand the business, so he moved to 35-36 Downing Street where it still resides today.

John Goodridge Ltd was originally a workwear based business. It sold everything from stiff seperate collars and aprons to boiler suits and wellington boots!

Slowly the business evolved, Jack’s son, John, took over in the 1970s and introduced a more ‘quality feel’ to the business. The old workwear was replaced with suits and jackets from companies such as Daks London.
